What “I don’t need a Man" Really Means

Not too long ago woman were systematically and strategically denied agency over their own lives.

Whatever desires they had, ambitions , dreams etc were %1000 dependent on the men in their lives, for better or for worst. And this was a very delicate condition as well, because she had to tightrope between personal advocacy and submisive determent mixed in with a healthy dose of carefully crafted discernment.

Men did not provide us with very much grace in return. In fact, they held that over our heads and made slaves of us instead. They locked us up in institutions and claimed we were mentally insane if we dared to complain, and sometimes just for fun.

Or maybe they wanted to fuck someone younger than us and this was easier than divorce. After spending our lives at their emotional whimsy, getting fucked like a hole instead of a whole, and the ever exhausting extortion of relentless childbirth, sometimes the man just got bored with her. So into some of the must cruel and disturbing systemic cohersion of human dignity she went.

Shocked to shit or labotomized until she just shut the fuck up.
